Foo Fighters @Kalasatama Helsinki, Finland 26.06.2011

I'm still knee deep in the Grohlian Universe. I promise to return to the normal programming soon but there's still some more Fooness to post.

I finally found the time to go through my photos and videos from the gig and thought I'd post some.

This gig was just, wow. I've seen a lot of gigs in my life and this one was easily one of the best. They made 28 000 people sing along, jump, dance and laugh easily for over two hours. The guys in the band are total pro's and obviously love what they are doing. I'm not a great writer or a reviewer and I'm sure most who are interested enough have already read dozens of reviews that are better written then I ever would manage to get out so I'll just concentrate on posting the pics.

I had my new cam with me for the first time and it proved to be well worth the prize. It's just a tiny Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX5V but still worked miracles as I was nowhere near the front row. We were quite close to the barrier on the far right side of the stage though. Hence mostly photos of just Dave Grohl, who is the only member off the band running around constantly. The energy of that guy makes my head spin :D

Summer in Finland equals sunshine even at 9pm

The dude behind me who kept pushing and climbing on me when Dave was right in front of us and made every pic blurry: Thank you, thank you sooo much. If I ever meet you again I have a very special fist shaped present just for you

This pic just cracks me up :D

The fact that I in the end managed to get a pic of Pat, makes the teenage Nirvana fan living inside me superbly happy <3

There was a beautiful sunset right as the band ended. Very fitting.

I haven't had time to edit my videos yet so I'll just post a couple I found on YouTube. I wished they had played I should Have Known from the new album as that one is growing to join my all time favorite Foo songs, the amount of raw emotion in it is just incredible. Sadly they didn't but of the ones we did see live, these made the biggest impact in me. And trust me it took forever to pic as the whole gig was just so bloody marvellous.
